SUMMARY

Organoid model systems, with their multiple organ-specific cell types and exhibiting some organ functions, have revolutionised biology. The development of an increasing array of organoids continues to open up opportunities for their application across a wide range of fields.

This new conference will share successes of organoids in studying development and tissue homeostasis, as well as in modelling infectious diseases, cancer and genomic diseases. Immunological applications and cell-based therapies will be discussed, in addition to the latest technical advances and ways to address current limitations of organoids.

By bringing together researchers working across organ systems with clinicians of different specialties, this online event aims to promote multidisciplinary approaches and explore parallels between various tissue models. The conference will go beyond conventional uses of organoids to explore advances and new applications.

Sessions will run online in afternoons for Europe and Africa | mornings for the Americas, enabling researchers from across the globe to engage with the latest developments.
